We started our day as early as 7.30am for breakfast. At 8.30am everyone started to move to the groups assigned.

Ours is LIVERPOOL!!
9.00am – Class started with greeting from Chris. The topic for this slot is Hospitality and Tourism.

We were introduced to vocabularies related to hospitality and tourism like types of food service.
There were five tasks where it started with the simplest task and followed by series of tasks that cater to different level of learners.

As a whole, these activities gave us some awareness on the needs to differentiate activities for different levels of students in the classrooms.
11.00 am – We had a session with Andrew where he did on Classroom Language and Higher Order Questioning Skills.

In this session we were introduced to the types of language used in the classrooms. It is the language between the teacher and the learners or among learners themselves. These classroom language can be used to encourage thinking and learning and to manage the classroom.

We got HOTS (higher order thinking skills) and LOTS (lower order thinking skills).

Nasi minyak, ayam masak merah, dalca- dosage to sleep…zzzzzzzzz

2.00pm – Carole came to the rescue!!..we were about to doze off due to the nasi minyak.

#Learning Skills Across The Curriculum#
We had to be active for the active learning. We explored, interacted and applied different ways to learn at the same time developed learners autonomy and learning strategies.

After 5.00pm..some went cycling. But we had laksa janggus witch there isn’t any pucuk janggus in the laksa to stabilized the nasi minyak. Later we got to know the janggus trees are out of the ‘pucuk’!!! Now they use salad in the laksa.

Not only laksa janggus we also had banana fritters coated with sesame seeds. Yummy..yummy…yummy…
